It may look like you’re managing, but inside it feels harder than it should.

The worries don’t quiet down, your energy isn’t what it was, and even good moments feel muted. Turmoil internally, together with stress from all that surrounds you, can feel unrelenting. Whether it shows up as anxiety, depression, bipolar symptoms, grief, or the quiet strain of daily life, distress has a way of seeping into everything.

With more than 25 years of experience as a mental health professional, I offer therapy, psychiatric medication management, or a thoughtful integration of both. My focus is to listen deeply, provide meaningful support and professional guidance, and help you move toward relief and resilience.

I am uniquely triple-licensed in three disciplines: as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and Family Primary Care and Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

This broad perspective guides my care, always attentive to the full context of your life — your emotional and physical health, the stressors you carry, and the environment in which you live.

For adolescents, that may mean handling academic demands, friendships, or questions about yourself and your emotions. For adults, it may involve relationships, work, family concerns, transitions, or loss. And for those living with long-standing mental health issues, it often warrants sustained support that adapts as life evolves. Wherever you find yourself, my goal is to provide sensitive understanding, evidence-based care, and a path toward feeling and living better in ways that are gratifying and enduring for you.

Specializing in treatment to address:

You can feel better. We’ll work together to get you there.

Hi, I’m Jane.

There’s no rush here. Our focus will be on understanding what’s weighing on you, to help you find your way through the challenges you’re facing. You’ll grow and get back to what matters to you.

When we meet, you’ll find I’m here to listen—genuinely and actively.

The mental health care I offer isn't about providing surface advice, one-size-fits-all answers, or imposing a therapeutic approach on you. I’m curious to understand your story from your perspective. I’ll pick up on the emotions you may find hard to put into words. I'll ask thoughtful questions about you and your life and what you’d like to change. I’m interested in what you enjoy and how friends and family resonate with you. I'll engage you in developing constructive ways to manage difficulties, while building on your signature strengths.

I create a comfortable and accepting space where you feel encouraged to express yourself, work through your concerns, and attain the personal goals you value most. This is an opportunity to prioritize yourself, your needs, and to be heard with compassion and professional support.

As a Family NP, Psychiatric NP and Clinical Social Worker,

I know that collaboration with other health professionals is key to successful care. If you’re working with other healthcare providers, whether you're looking for medication, therapy, or both, my experience as an NP and therapist enables me to work effectively with other professionals to promote your optimal well-being. With your permission, I will talk with your doctors to review your medications, labs, and health status. If medication is warranted and prescribed by me, I will reach out to your current therapist(s) and to ensure integrated care aligned with your treatment goals. If I provide your therapy, I will choose approaches from evidence-based treatment methods that are best suited to your needs and I will consistently check in with you to assess their effectiveness.

As a mental health specialist with experience in primary care, psychiatry and clinical social work, I share current mental health research and will create a well-rounded, dynamic approach to treatment, personalized for you. I support you in taking care of your comprehensive well-being by considering the full spectrum of your health and how you navigate the ups and downs of your life.

Providing…

  • If you’ve tried different ways to feel better, including therapy, but you’re still not finding relief, medication may be a step worth exploring. You might feel like something is weighing on your mood or your mind that you can't shake off. Everything seems difficult to do: you're not accomplishing what you want, your sleeping and eating seem off, you want to stop worrying but nothing relieves the "what ifs." You wonder what medication might offer and could it provide that extra bit of help.

We'll take a thoughtful and research-based approach to considering medication - addressing your questions, concerns, specific symptoms, and all options for you in the context of your unique personal and health situation.  Every question you may have is a good question and allows us to think together about how medications may or may not help you.  My goal is to prescribe targeted psychiatric medications at the lowest doses that are effective to relieve carefully diagnosed mental health symptoms. Medication reactions will be monitored carefully and regularly, with you as an active participant in all pharmacologic decisions. Alternatives and complementary strategies to medication will also be shared, including the pros and cons of each approach.

  • If you’re feeling stuck in a cycle of low moods, worries, or relationship issues, I'm here to help you identify how your feelings took root and evolved, what you want to change, and how you can get there. You may feel like the weight of your thoughts or the strain of your routines has dimmed your sense of purpose or joy, and perhaps you’re searching for a way to reconnect with what you really value. Therapy can offer you an opportunity to explore what’s going on within and around you. Together, we can take steady steps to understand the patterns in your life, difficulties that confront you, and ways to work through these with new insights and approaches built upon your strengths. You may have forgotten those strengths - or you minimize them as not really strengths at all.  Our work has one overarching theme: to help you feel more aligned with the person you want to be and the life you want to lead. Your goals are at the heart of our work together.

  • As we grow older, life introduces new challenges that can sometimes be difficult to navigate—like managing physical limitations, adjusting to loss, or handling multiple healthcare needs. Whether you live alone or with others, shouldering all these adjustments can be overwhelming. If you or your loved ones are finding it hard to keep up with the day-to-day, facing worries about memory, or feeling low and unmotivated, we can work to clarify  problems and find constructive ways to address them. I can also collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and health aides who may be assisting you, to help ensure integration of your care that reflects your wishes and supports your optimal health. I work with older adults individually and, if requested, with their families and others significant to them to support their autonomy, dignity, and well-being. Each older adult’s physical and emotional health is sensitively considered. Your voice guides my interventions to encourage your highest level of functioning, independence, and enjoyment of your life.
